Porte
Porte and Grand Porte were conceived out of experiments of working with unfired clay. Pieces can be reworked easily by taking away, adding, and applying more wet slip. These possibilities allow the work to be reconfigured and altered based on the space it exists within. A toolbox of materials may be brought to any location and created on site. Upon the exhibition closing, the unfired material can be slaked back down awaiting to be remade into something new. Grand Porte was installed in February 2016 at Northwest Missouri State University.
